      Good company, bad management

      Pros

      Good product. Nice office. Pretty competitive salaries.

      Cons

      Current marketing and brand design team leadership was ruining all the management processes for more than a year and making one bad decision after another. Lack of trust, lack of respect, ageism, homophobia, we've seen it all. And instead of changing for the good and maybe doing some leadership changes, they just failed completely and ended up laying off most of the top design and management talents and offshoring the work to cheaper countries. Then the leadership was trying to make this dirty and sneaky move look good, but, well, people don't buy it. In general, the way the company conducted these sneaky and absolutely unnecessary layoffs hurt the company-employee relationship severely.

      Avoid, poor culture and leadership

      Experience with a true product led growth company

      Cons

      - ineffective leadership that posture for power - lots of politics and siloed organizations - no support from management to develop in career - frequent requirement to provide evidence of what people are working on (lots of distrust) - too many people that are waiting for an IPO and toxic to the culture

      as soon as sales aren't as high as they used to be, people are laid off

      Miro's product is a great thing

      Unfortunately, it was only enough to have a slightly slower growth than in recent years and about 120 employees were already fired, or as Miro says "we had to say good bye"! And as you can hear, it wasn't done in a very family-like way, but in a very American way. HR is keen to present the layoffs as positively as possible but those affected still seem to be fighting for what they were promised by Miro/CEO. Btw.,practically no executives were fired.... As is so often the case, those employees and managers who have not been laid off are not in a particularly good mood.
