Corporate support was awesome, pay and benefits were commensurate with responsibility. Local team was focused on the jobs and plant.

Cons

Corporate has great visions, but MD's at the local level do not always follow the corporate (European) thinking. I think it would be a great advantage to change our thinking in the US.

American co-workers are great and hard working. Mondi has poured money into new equipment including presses and conversion equipment.

Cons

Mondi is bringing non-Americans into the plant who lack the ability to communicate with their American co-workers. Mondi does not grasp American culture. They do not understand that all employees are to be treated with respect and dignity. They do not understand the American bag market. They do not understand the American commitment to quality.
