      Body shop technology "consultancy"

      Pros

      I'm hopefully leaving very soon. Many consultants bought into the hype and are looking at the exit door. Thankfully literally no one knows who NTT DATA is in the UK. I used the same hype spin they sold to me (billions invested in R&D, Japanese tech etc.) in recent interviews with Deloitte and PWC to good effect.

      Cons

      Not sure where to start....a business with less than 3% profit margin which does nearly zero management consultancy work, directors with no understanding of their industry verticals and people who really *believe* they compete against McKinsey because that's what the leadership team tells them. Stay at Deloitte, PWC, even Accenture.

      Pros

      Good people - my ex Dell Services\Perot colleagues are great. That is, what is left of us.

      Cons

      Dell was bad, but who knew NTT DATA Services would take it to an entirely new level? Huge layoffs. Drastically cut benefits, remote employees foot all bills for their productivity (internet, electricity, telephone, office equipment and supplies) which means no allowances of any kind (you do not want to work remote for this company, they will exploit you, do not work from home), salary increases less than 1%, bonus 2xyear minimum possible, can only take vacation after it is accrued. And, if you love red tape, this is the place for you.

      Pros

      I was an employee of a company that was fully integrated into NTT Data two to three years ago. i have been very impressed of NTT Data as it relates to communication to employees, advancement opportunities and the ability to work with cutting edge technology. I feel valued as an employee and have been given opportunities to advance several times. This is a home for me and I have recommended to friends to apply to the organization as well.

      Cons

      We are not as well known in the market place as our competitors. We are secretly one of the largest IT integration companies in the world.
