Pros

1. Good learning experience. You work hands on on lots of things. Technically I worked hands on on lots of stuff(front end, back end, build, deployment). Also had opportunity to do projects at client location and even coordinated with clients external vendors. Such ownership is not given in large corporations. 2 Different projects means you get technical as well as some domain knowledge. 3. Appraisals and promotions are great for someone who is at entry level(0-5 years). The promotions and increments given here are not seen in a service company. 4. The HR people organize lots of fun events as well as Corporate Social responsibility events. I was happy to be part of those. 5. Nice place to start career as a developer.

Cons

1. Factors like work-life balance depend on the state and management of the project. A last minute requirement change doesn't change the deadline. 2. Medical insurance coverage is not good. A better insurance company can be looked for. Also leave encashment should not be a part of CTC. 3. Compulsory tests and courses: Every quarter, an employee in his technology group must complete a course in his domain for skill update. Its a nice initiative for learning but the execution is super bad. 4. Although I never had problems in any of my projects, but when I interacted with people from other projects, I felt that at times people at managerial positions commit give unrealistic deadlines.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review; wonderful not because of a decent rating, but because of how specific the feedback is. This helps us improve Nagarro tremendously. I, of course, agree with all of the pros that you have written down. We do expect to be one of the best places to work - provide great career opportunities, a fun working environment, and be a socially responsible company. And I also agree with all of the cons you have written down. We do need to get better at managing projects - at the same time, being able to go that extra mile for making the customer successful is one of the thing that sets us apart from other global services providers. But remember, variability in work load is almost a core attribute of the industry we all are in. I do believe that we are looking at revising the medical insurance bit this coming financial year. Leave encashment is no longer part of CTC - this change was announced earlier this year. The University system is always being upgraded. It works decently well, even in its current state (believe it or not, people don't pass the end-of-course test as often as you would imagine). At the same time, we are now working on orienting it more around role-based training which should result in a more varied set of courses each year. We are experimenting this year with different modes of training (including external trainers). The only thing that I may not directly agree with (as a personal opinion), is giving dedicated time off for university programs. The skills that we learn as part of training are for our own good as well as the organization's. We get the skills that we need to advance, and the organization gets to have internal folks skilled to support it. The organization puts in time, effort, and money to run these programs, and the people put in time and effort to go through them. The university training program only asks for people to put in on average 2 hours extra per week. Having said this, as an organization, we do continually request delivery managers to support people under training by planning for training time in people's time plans. Thank you again for your feedback. It is sad that you are no longer working with us. I would love to know why you left. Perhaps, one day, you will come back and join us.

Thank you for leaving a feedback here at Glassdoor. While we didn't rise from any ashes (like a phoenix), we definitely are on track for a long, bright, and successful future for Nagarro. And you are right, everyone who is at Nagarro today will look back at the day when we were just a small 100 million dollars company. I am happy to see that you are finding that your time at Nagarro is well spent. All of the pros are things that we consider intrinsic to our growth and culture. Having a strong focus on people and maintaining a very flat culture is critical for us. We are putting a lot of focus on being 'employee centered'. I would love to hear more about any specific suggestions that you may have. If you wish, we can meet face to face to go over these. If yes, then please ask HR to put you in touch with me. And yes, I agree that growth is good but culture is important. In fact, I would say Culture is what we are here for, and growth will be an automatic byproduct of it. Thanks again for taking the time to review us.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review here. I am happy to see that the pros you have listed here are some of the very things that we put a lot of focus on. A flat culture and reachable management is a core value. People focus is another core value. From a salary structure perspective, you must have received a recent mail which talks about the changes made to the salary structure. So, the feedback that we have received in the last year or so has already been addressed. We will take your advice to heart and keep up the good work. I only request that you help us in doing it. Once again, thank you for taking the time to review Nagarro.
