Pros

This is the best profile to learn the new technologies in the field of wireless. This gives an exposure to the end to end knowledge(i.e. from UE to Core network)

Cons

Career growth and monetary benefits is not good enough. For longer run, you can benefit form technical aspect but not career growth aspect.

Pros

When I first joined Nokia, I found that it was a nice place to work, and there was lots of interesting technology around. The other engineers around me where friendly, and there was a nice collegiate atmosphere. The non cash benefits are good.

Cons

The internal system of salary reviews and appraisals makes it very hard to get a promotion or meaningful pay rise without switching jobs internally, so if you the type of person who likes to stick with the same job year in year out then your starting pay grade will be the same for years. There appear to be a lot of waste of space middle managers, who manage by spreadsheet and are incapable of decision making. (Friends in other departments have told me the same). If you get one of them as your immediate line manager then your job will be much harder than it needs to be.

Pros

-Relaxed Office Environment -Needed Trainings are provided -Work Life Balance

Cons

-Bad Leadership throughout all the way from CEO level. -People on management level still are not thrive for real change to this ever changing and competitive environment. Companies always implement changes, but these changes only affect people on the bottom the most. People on the top are just playing musical chairs, swapping roles. -Management are rarely responsible for any bad decision they have made. They stay in their job whereas engineers are blamed by being laid off. -Bad Salary to start with. Average yearly pay rise was about 1~3%. This is pathetic. -Managers are selfish, only care about their own promotion.
