      Pros

      I find Nuance to be a very satisfying work environment. Every day brings a new set of challenges from which to learn and grow your professional skill set. The collection of talent that makes up the employee base at Nuance is unparalleled. Interesting work, dynamic workforce, and a product set that will revolutionize the way people communicate with one another = really exciting place to be!

      Cons

      The fast pace can be wearing over time. Communications could be improved. But these are just pain points resulting from the speed of growth over the past several years.

      Pros

      Nuance is a fast paced, constantly changing environment. We create, support and sell cutting edge technology, so you have to adapt and reprioritize with the marketplace or you will be left behind. I love the fast pace and enjoy having an ever changing role based on my boss and the business’s needs. The culture is friendly and overall the people I work with want to do a good job and come to work every day ready to do what it takes to make things happen.

      Cons

      Nuance is not for the faint of heart; the culture is very fast paced and if you can't adjust and redirect based on "this moment"; then you will be frustrated. I love working here; but it is a great fit for me... I know it is not for everyone.

      Interesting technology, incompetent management

      Pros

      The technology is some of the most interesting out there for engineers. There is a handful of brilliant engineers from whom you can learn. There are lots of interesting technical challenges and an enthusiastic customer base.

      Cons

      Management is more interested in their own success, much less their employees' Career ladder is a joke. Promotional favor is given to friends of managers. Code quality is not a priority of this company. Getting products out fast is.
