      Technically Advanced - Professionally Getting There

      Pros

      Nuance has a good mix of employees. From the ivy league and Type A personalities of go-getters to the more relaxed yet performers. Good benefits and great resources.

      Cons

      Company is growing very fast. Some of the employees who have been with the company for a while and are still getting adjusted to the "new" Nuance are getting left behind in terms of promotions. One could say there is favoritism but it's mainly with top performers.

      Excellent future potential in mobile communications Extensive professional services across the US market/ International capabilities for scaling Broad array of vertical market solutions, healthcare included Some good executives with vision and a sense of loyalty to employees Acquisition strategy focused on the future of core growth arenas Generally good benefits (not inclusive of salary or incentives)

      Lack of clear communication from executives to staff Underfunded marketing programs Little to no compensatory upside for employees below the VP level No career path evident in many departments Poor HR performance overall

      A solid place with lots of upside

      Pros

      The company does try to improve the working situation....although it has been slow, there have been advances. Overall, the company will treat the employees fairly.

      Cons

      My biggest issue with Nuance is the Red tape....but it's found every place of employment so there isn't too much you can do.
