The pay falls below minimum wage. The "perks" explained at the time of hire are fabrications and nearly impossible to meet. The QA department generally are not from the US and make errors all the time in QA which costs the transcriptionist money. When a transcriptionist has a very good week with regards to number of lines, QA swoops in and incorrectly charges an error against the transcriptionist, thereby ensuring Nuance will not have to pay the transcriptionist what she/he rightfully earned and deserves. A very morale-lowering job.
