Such a shame

Pros

The only pro to working for Nuance is the ability to work remotely, but then again, this type of work is typically done in this fashion for almost all employers at this point.

Cons

Once they purchased our company, they cut wages for their highest earners/producers 30% off the top. They then set about making bonuses much more difficult to earn, cut our benefits, even refused to pay time and a half for OT (time and a quarter only). In order to have any holiday off, vacation time must be used.

Pros

Really smart people working together; not very political. Cutting edge technologies that are intellectually interesting. Flexible working.

Cons

Direction changes often, so you need to be good at juggling and pivoting. Solidly male upper management. A tendency to set priorities but then drown them in noise.

Pros

The best thing in my experience at Nuance was that I had an awesome team leader.

Cons

The worst thing is the company cares only for their own bottom dollar - not providing fair and gainful employment for all US employees as they completely terminated their California work force.
