Pros

Work at home. Options for days and hours.

Cons

Absolutely no flexibility with scheduling. I requested to switch two days to the two days I typically don't work which has usually been fine. I go away for the two days, and find an email which states I have been terminated. No phone call from HR, no phone call from my manager asking where I was...just you've been terminated. No issues with the quality of my work just that I missed two days and I wasn't supposed to. Do they think perhaps it was a miscommunication on their part?...of course not. They looked for an excuse to get rid of a part-time employee and they found it. This is after five years of steady employment and not a single problem with the quality of my work. I had also come back after hand surgery and they could have cared less!

Pros

My immediate manger is great to work, but those higher up just do not seem to have a clue.

Cons

They are so focused on dollars and saving that they just want to save hopsitals and clinics money but do not consider the MTs or others just trying to make a living. They just want to go into big hospitals and clinics and tell them they can do a better and faster job if the hospitals and clinics will just outsource everything to them. Then when they have the contract they never have everyone trained well enough to take on additional work.

Pros

Working from home. No gas.

Cons

I started this "joke of a job" and then my husband had a major stroke. My manager was very compassionate to me... but still reminded me pretty much everyday that I needed to return to the sweatshop. I did. QA is so nit picky. If you miss an age by a month or an S at the end of a word and they "hear" it; even though in the particular case of the S that I missed the physician was sending a disk of x-rays to another physician. I know in my experience that they don't give you your x-rays on multiple disks! I got a major ding for this. You are also required to attain 186 lines per hour. Totally unattainable! They outsource the QA to India, seriously? I suppose they know English better than I. It is said that QA makes more of their incentive from how many errors that they can find! Seriously? I find it hard to believe that anyone achieves a 99% all of the time.
