      Oracle is a nice place to work. Excellent if you have a family due to consistent hours

      Pros

      Depending on the campus: -gym -organized activities -relaxed atmosphere -diverse groups of people Everyone I've met in person has been very nice. The culture is excellent. Facilities are very nice.

      Cons

      Upper management is slow to respond. Compensation is a little low and the pay increases are not very large. It's also very difficult to "get ahead" due to employees coming over from the constant acquisitions. Also hard to get noticed because the pond is so large. Easy for others to take credit for your work.

      Do not expect pay rises or career progression if you are not in Sales or development

      when it's not end of quarter, the atmosphere is quite easygoing, the hours aren't too bad if you like autonomy, everything is self directed here, you basically get no help from anyone for anything

      Cons

      unless you are in Sales or development or something 'front-end,' you cannot hope for any kind of pay rise, career progression, etc. It's given to a few people and everyone else just helps the Oracle machine tick over. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone unless they were senior and respected in their career, then Oracle has the bucks to win you over, because they're so good at saving.

      Overworked and underpaid.

      Pros

      Mostly competent colleagues. Work can be interesting.

      Cons

      Poor balance between work and personal life. Training is poor or on your own time. Workload is difficult to manage - extremely understaffed. Pay is very low. Some of the technology is archaic and they still sell it!
