Pros

Safe, comfortable position, at least for new hires. Solid benefits. Good commission if the stars align in your favor.

Cons

Poorly organized. Company doesn't care about your well being or success. Treated like a pawn in a massive game. The people who succeed in the role are those who get lucky with the right territory, selling the right product, with the right clientele. Leads to a toxic culture where those who work the hardest won't necessarily be recognized nor reap the benefits of their work.

Hard to advance within the company since you are tied to your accounts production for advancement, Constantly battling with other inside Oracle sales that own the same accounts as you but sell different products.
