Pros

Coworkers from Sun Microsystems. They do hire great people and inherent ones from acquisitions. Benefits seem to be above average but vacations are stingy. The new open vacation policy will probably make things worse.

Cons

Management goals to replace experienced (older) employees with new college graduates from overseas (cheaper). After the acquisition of Sun Microsystems 90% of the engineers did not get annual raises. They only gave raises to the “top” 10% and when promoting new college graduates after one and two years.

Pros

Supported development well, good work environment. Lots of HW innovation from Sun Acquisition.

Cons

Don;'t think higher ups really understood HW development, or how to provide good marketing input for future product direction.
