- As a very profitable company, there's no worry about whether the company will go out of business. - Work from home flexibility is allowed for most groups - Lots of opportunities for business travel to all parts of the world

Cons

- Oracle is a company that makes its profits through lean operations (read: maximizing margins). That means, you as an employee get squeezed too - Very little work/life balance - You're not thought to think - you're merely supposed to do. - As a result of bureaucratic processes, you become more of a process manager instead of a product manager. Those of us from Sun that made it into Oracle, soon found that out the hard way

Decent benefit and facilities. Can be a good place to work if the actual job description really fit your interest and you have a decent manager.

Cons

The company is getting too big that it hired some really lousy upper level management that wreak havoc to team morale.

- stable company - decent benefit package - huge product portfolio - flexibility in working hours (common to see ppl come only 2 days to office)

Cons

- Deep hierarchies (common to see a Director reporting to another Director or a Director with no reports) - constant acquisitions cause confusion in lower ranks - Very top-down in terms of driving anything - doesnt care much about developer community or organic innovation (buys innovation)
