Pros

You get to really learn alot about how companies are ran.

Cons

There is no training or onboarding process to help you learn the robust suite of products. Additionally, the managers that are there are all about themselves. The managers are not true managers they are just people who have been successful in their roles and moving to management was the next logical step. There is no support or guidance. Once you start they drop you in the deep end and say figure it out. There is a push for worklife balance. However, this is all talk. Every company picks favorites, however, at NetSuite, it is very very political. Managers are blatantly manipulative to get you to leave. They will do whatever they have to do to make your life miserable if they don't like you. They promote team collaboration but they have created a culture that does not allow you to learn from your peers or be coached. Additionally, for a large organization, they give you slow, old computers. How are you supposed to conduct business onsite with customers when your computer doesn't even work. This is all illustrated by the best managers leaving. Over the course of 1 year all of the best managers who care about there team and want to help develop them have left for smaller startups. The company is experiencing growing pains still from the Oracle Acquisition. Oracle reps are going after NetSuite customers and it is a complete mess.

Pros

- People are very friendly - Facilities (gym particularly) are top notch - There are some big deals available - Good internal opportunities if you seek them yourself - New CMO is driving some much needed change

Cons

- Sales data and tools are really poor - Business development not closely aligned to sales in Dublin, creating problems - Not near enough training on the products to become comfortable enough to cold call a CFO to talk about their challenges - Culture is negative on the whole - Don't feel like true sales people, a lot of the planning is done by manager/director and the rep executes their vision for each deal - Stale organisation with little direction (in Dublin anyway) - High turnover of staff due to the above points - Learning is limited to oracle based processes and tools, not sales, commercial, or professional development that you will use in your next job - Middle management are generally not experienced in running/closing deals

Pros

Pro's are good work life balance, great benefits such as health insurance, parking, training, variety in jobs and activities, allow you to participate in hackathons, charity support is great with lots of support, huge product portfolio if you want to learn about lots of different things. Also internally in most cases more professional and supportive of the individual, so while not perfect I have seem much less professional behaviour elsewhere. People are generally really good, friendly, open. In terms of learning strategic selling, Oracle is up there with the best, and it will equip you with very good skills.

Cons

The real issue is the customer perception and move away from Oracle products (not everywhere of course some products are doing ok). Most customers seem to want to abandon the Oracle products and especially the lock in to old style and very expensive perpetual contracts. Past treatment of customers means you are generally not that welcome when visiting to talk about new products, if they are a long time customer. This is especially disheartening when you want to do your best, but customers literally hate your company. Internal values are good, but external is the problem. Lately some new managers are quite savage.
