Pros

You get to work with the latest technology in cloud computing. It's a very remote environment meaning you get to work from home, a lot.

Cons

You will never see a raise at this company and when you do, a 1% raise sounds about right. In the mean time, Safra Catz and Mark Hurd are getting crazy pay raises. Your benefits will get cut and you'll be forced to take vacation in December. Mark Hurd is the king of cuts. Working here, you will realize that the executives really don't care about you.

Always have a job - bu they just load you up if you are good at anything

Cons

Once you are hired at a pay rate, your pretty much stuck there.

Pros

There are a lot of smart, good people working here. Plus, Oracle's business spans a lot of areas, giving you a lot of opportunity to potentially contribute.

Cons

I have never been at a company that made day-to-day productivity so difficult. Internal tools don't work, support is miserable, and intranet resources are disorganized. Also, internal bureaucracy is staggering. And I say that as a former employee of Microsoft. Management seems perfectly willing to chip away at benefits in search of a bottom line. As other companies are expanding parental leave rights, Oracle still has no paternity leave. They doubled healthcare deductibles last year. And most recently, they essentially furloughed employees over the holidays in an attempt to tweak quarterly earnings. Also, I didn't even stay there long enough to go through a review cycle, but word on the street was that raises/bonuses were virtually non-existent. Oracle is literally the worst company I have worked for, and that's especially frustrating because there _are_ a lot of good people there. It's problems are with management and corporate structure. Larry Ellison is not a good guy, and I really do think that trickles down into the rest of the corporate culture.
