Pros

Starting pay and benefits were pretty good Good shift differential for working weekends Brilliant colleagues Flexible working arrangements, was allowed to work from home High quality vertical managers

Cons

Advancement was only considered annually and next-to impossible. There was only a $0.25/hour raise with a large promotion. Depressing lack of pay raises over a 5 year span All in-house work was sent offshore for cheaper labor in a gradual process, so there was a constant fear of layoffs Layoffs happened frequently, and cuts were deep, including entire departments Layoffs did not account for job performance, as top performers of all levels and senior staff were dumped without warning.

Pros

The salary is good and expenses can be claimed at actuals. They do not show up as part of tax deductions so you get to spend corporate money without claims. A lot of health and financial consultants.

Cons

No one really works as a team and everyone is out for their two pennies. You won't really learn anything new if you are a seasoned professional. If you are good at your job, prepare an exit strategy early. Do not invest in company car scheme, you will suffer.

Pros

Great health care benefits and good ability to work from home. That's it.

Cons

Everything is self service- all apps that one has to use, but they aren't intuitive, help desk is an hour wait on the phone, and search tools for online help are ineffective. They get most of their employees through acquisitions, promise bonus programs, and renege on them. Pay is below par, it's such a huge organization that you can't see the value you add, and no raises. I worked 12 hours a day as I dealt with marketing groups across the globe. It was hell on earth. I'm 55 years old, have worked at many companies of varying sizes, and have never felt so undervalued, ineffective, and used. I couldn't get out of there fast enough- but it took me nearly two years.
