Pros

Good benefit scheme, possibility to relocate globally, huge diverse workforce, ability to progress through the ranks and an organised corporate structure.

Cons

Oh boy where to start. . . Micros was acquired under Oracle's banner of 'embrace the change' and 'this is a great opportunity for you all.' Should have read between the lines and understood that they are just a bunch of liars. Within 6 months it became apparent that we would likely never get another salary increment, that there would be no new hires in our office and that the UK/IRL support new hires would be done in Romania where all the knowledge and talent are not. While we witnessed this happening (in front of our eyes no less) the good people at Oracle never communicated one iota of this to us. Au contraire, they still persisted with the fantasy that everything was wonderful. Slowly over time, most of our experienced and highly skilled support staff just melted away as they got fed up with a rising workload and did not care to try and find alternate employment within a company that had been so deceitful. Whatever MICROS was like to work for, they at least knew how to support their products and ensure their customers incidents were progressed in a timely manner. Oracle Hospitality has failed in this aspect so spectacularly that it almost seems like it was done willingly.

Constant contact with new products and features, you are the first to now.

Cons

There is no investments or official trainings, exceed expectations or been regular Joe pays the same. Excessive changes in process without any benefits to clients, focus in numbers management, thus constant lack of quality produced generating rework constantly.
