Exec Team that got it so so wrong

Pros

Very well oiled engine internally. Great communication amongst colleagues and in teams. Genuine people with great knowledge and expertise. Salesforce is the best ecosystem by far, lots of potential. Fantastic product and product team.

Cons

Harp on about their values - not seen that demonstrated once by exec team - in fact it’s getting worse. Exec team are never accountable and shoot from the hip with very little experience. The company let go a huge amount of colleagues but with the most bizarre mix of people left, almost as if they picked names out of hats. Tenured, well respected and genuinely good employees let go for people with little to no experience or never hit their targets, but they are a good drinking buddy for their manager. Spend a lot of money on events and like to talk about having plenty of money in the bank but happy to cut a number of crucial roles and cut good people than cut down on their events and spending on offices.

Thank you for your feedback. We value communication and always strive to build trust through transparency. In terms of our products, we take great pride in what we offer- innovative and strategic products that serve the dynamic needs of our customers. While we’ve grown significantly year over year, the world has changed much more dramatically and as a result we have had to make a strategic organizational realignment, impacting employees worldwide. While this decision was extremely challenging we remain extremely positive about our future. We have a great deal of respect and compassion for our employees, both current and former. Pros

- Suite of products for Salesforce are good and have real value - They like to burn loads of money on company events no one asks for that won't yield any return for the business - Swag is nice

Cons

- It's a blatantly obvious game of favorites to everyone at the company. Certain people that have been at company for a while can completely miss their goals and do a terrible job and they'll be promoted or put in new positions they don't deserve while others are let go for much much less. Sales leaders basically do whatever they want and run the company, which is now running the company straight to the ground. Execs basically don't even matter because of how much sale leaders control the narrative at the company. - Tech company without tech level talent. Recruiters basically beg anyone with a pulse to come work here because it's challenging to recruit for a company that isn't attractive to work for (minus for people who can barely get jobs elsewhere). It's quite a dull product. This is a place where people who are at the twilight of their careers or people with no experience or people who can't get jobs elsewhere work. - RTO policy. They are requiring people to come into office 3-5 days a week. While other companies may be doing the same, it hurts this particular place more because they are in NJ and more so because they were at it's best when no one was actually going in. Why would anyone want to commute to Jersey when they can just work in NYC or closer to where they live with better pay. It would be nice if they at least were a little more original and not use "Better Together" like other companies already are. - Exec team seems subpar (not all). These are mostly people who would never be in the same position elsewhere. - Times are about to get real tough

Thanks for your feedback. We agree that our products provide value, and so do our 5,000 happy customers. We also have nearly 500 positive reviews on the Salesforce AppExchance. We invest in our employees in different ways- one of them is through our company events like MKO, happy hours, and other offsite meetings. We believe that these events provide great returns- like the time and setting for valuable conversations to take place and relationships to flourish. Conversation, connection, and relationships are also why we find it so important to have our workforce back in the office. There is no replacement for human connection and the culture it produces. In terms of the company’s ability to attract top talent, we are extremely selective and work hard to secure the best talent available. Only 1% of candidates who apply to the company are hired, and our recruiters are extremely busy curating the top applicants. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you. -Alyssa Lahar, CHRO
