Great place to gain experience. Work on interesting projects. Good team spirit.

Cons

Some teams are better to work with or for than others. Heavy work loads make it difficult for optimal performance and diligence that the roll demands. Salary and rewards far below industry standard for the roll.

If a married couple working in the same department with one as supervisor isn’t nepotism, I don’t know what is. Supervisor’s “work husband” was promoted after a year with less skills and training than other female employees. Toxic coworkers who bullied for their own rise and were reported for it received promotions. In the reorganization, two supervisors were fired without notifying the staff for an entire day or detailing who they report to or if they still had a job. My only regret was not leaving sooner when I saw the first red flags.
