Great people and poor management.

Pros

The vacation policy is really great. Salary is OK when you're hired. The people you work with are hit or miss. Not as high quality as I expected going in.

Cons

Most years there are no pay raises. When there are raises, they don't make up for all that you've lost. There are layoffs in R&D every year. The direction of the company seems to change every year. Wouldn't recommend it as a great place to work.

Pros

Very smart and motivated software developers to work with. Great place if you want to solve tough yet fun math, engineering, and geometry related problems. Great work-life balance with exceptional PTO policy.

Cons

After many years of searching, PTC has not yet found the big money maker and growth engine that Pro/E was. Long history of downsizing in the U.S.

The company is constantly growing and strives to be a leader of it's field of business, and excels in strategy planning. It enables good Work/Life Balance, flexible working hours, good location.

Cons

Low Compensation and Benefits, Strange people and no Culture. The local management skills aren't great, and they tend to prefer new employees over experienced ones. The focus is on the investors and little about the employees.
