Pros

The division I worked for did a great job of selling and supporting the industries best rugged laptops and tablets. You were encouraged to learn and to truly support your customers. I worked with a lot of very good, smart people who worked extremely hard.

Cons

Panasonic software is bad for the most part. The software developed in Japan is really quite bad. Panasonic seems to have an expectation of hiring you with the intent of firing you. If you can last at least three years then you can finally relax somewhat. Their work/life balance is out of whack and they know it. However, the leadership keeps trying to increase sales and working more hours is the easiest way to accomplish this.

Pros

50% 401K match up to 8% and benefits as soon as you start, but that is where it ends.

Cons

Average workforce age is 55+, most of these people should have been let go a long time ago, but their pensions and layoff packages would cost too much money. These employees do not add value anymore, they are out of touch.

Lots of internal politics, it's all about who you know

Pros

Job stability, it is literally almost impossible to get fired unless you have done something horrible like not show up for days on end, ok group of people to work around

Cons

There are a lot of internal politics and games that are played here. For any sort of advancement, it's all about who you know. Can be very cliquey especially if you are associated with anyone on the outs with upper management. Promotions are nearly impossible. No training or procedures for anything. There is little to no communication amongst teams and much of their methods and approach is in a very archaic mindset. Working was in a reactive not proactive world, where innovative thinking was looked down upon
