Great salary and benefits. Many opportunities for business travel.

Cons

With all the Japanese expats working in the US offices, it can be hard for a non Japanese employee. Most commonly used language is Japanese without any consideration to non-Japanese speakers. Small chance for any career advancement if you are non-Japanese. Also not enough invested in promoting young and bright R&D people. With such a fast changes in technology, they seem to be staying little behind.

Pros

The benefits at the company are great. Room for growth is also a positive. Starting pay is not horrible.

Cons

Depends on the division on how important you are to headquarters. Hard for people to make decisions- nature of a Japanese company is what most will say. Long unnecessary procedures in many operation areas.
