There are a lot of Cons: Very Stressful work environment for many reasons altogether, - Very poor management structure with Little to No accountability on various groups. - Timelines always move to the right and the Engineering/other teams in the end of the process end up picking up the slack for all other departments. Middle management is full of idiots! The real talent is on the working level "the people who actually do some work" ! There are a lots of positions opened for new managers in the "New Engineering Re-org" but seems like Direct TV is the only company we are interested in hiring. I say why do the un-necessary drama of opening up positions to the public when you are keen on hiring friends and family from outside. Its a shame that we used to be such a great company with good strong values but it all seems to go down the drain. No career path for senior Engineers once you max out on an MTS IV or MTS V levels. No grooming for Senior roles/Manager positions in the company. Highly Underpaid - not match even the market values..

This is the place for you! This company has more mid level yes men/women than any other company in the history of companies. Meetings to discuss meetings and more meetings. Let take notes in those meeting and then meet up again to discuss those notes. Foolishness. Predominantly staffed by undervalued and underpaid talent doing 90% of the work while everyone else takes notes and circulates meaningless status reports. Promotions are given to the those who are part of the problem. Save yourself the time and don't even consider working here.
