Pros

Barely even one: There are a few (just a few) good people trying to do good, but...

Cons

Dinosaur of a company living off of past glory (and unethical behavior - Google "Panasonic Avionics Foreign Corrupt Practices Act") . Huge backlog of orders that could not get filled. Everything is bespoke solution - 50 different solutions to the same problem. That means they cannot launch new hardware or software products across their customer portfolio, but have to do everything piecemeal. Zero efficiency of scale. Zero vision. Zero innovation. Constantly working a five-year plan that is simply a task list but not supported by a discernible mission. They are ripe for an aggressive, innovative competitor to wipe out their market share. The most political place I've worked. Rather than solving problems, people protect their little fiefdom. No company-wide understanding of what each group is doing - at a company wide meeting one staffer asked about why the company doesn't do X, when there is an entire department staffed and working on X. No opportunity for promotion. Impossible to get resources for problems that management have deemed important. IMO it's just not a good place for people who seek excellence. So many good people have bailed. Low pay, poor management, too political and antiquated.

Pros

Great pay, flexible schedule, lots of paid time off, performance bonus’s, nice OC location. Job is interesting and full of tech. If you keep your head down, do a good job, don’t make a splash anywhere, and can stomach gut churning policy changes, then this is the place for you and you can make a good career here for years making good money. If you find a good manager they can take care you well.

Cons

Upper management and execs are ever revolving, so in relation, policies and work/product quality are ever changing. Then there are the long term lower level managers, often lacking the skills to lead and were promoted due to close friendships or “inappropriate” romantic relationships, again affecting all sorts of work/product quality issues. The company has also been plagued with corruption charges that can be publicly read about in the news, and yes, this affects all the little employees as it forces them to regularly take tons of “anti-corruption” trainings all because of a couple crooked ex execs. Salaries are widely gapped with some making 35k and other making 70k-90k with same or similar qualifications (it’s all about who you know here)
