Pros

The benefits are good and I've made many friends among my coworkers. The company is also fairly stable and has a track record of success.

Cons

Payscale is unfair (should be more merit-based). Compensation is well below industry averages.

Pros

In an economy that has so many people doubting the stability of there job, paychex is a very solid company to work for. It is one of the top 100 companies to work for in fortune 500, and is one of the top job providers in Rochester, NY.

Cons

It seems hard to move up ther ladder unless you know someone on the inside. If you are not a sales oriented person, it is hard to make a decent amount of money.

Pros

Great place to advance your career. Lots of opportunities. It's a new world out there and Paychex understands that. Very forward thinking.

Cons

It can be stressful. You need to be able to deal. If you don't have the fortitude stay home. Since they started bringing in management candidates from outside the company I've seen it cause some problems. They need to ensure they have the appropriate balance of management and technical skills in order to be successful.
