Great coworkers but management lacks vision.

Pros

Generous number of paid time off, plenty of free parking. The workplace is casual and coworkers look at how well you work, not just what you look like.

Cons

Company lost it's way after the 2007 US pullout and never recovered after that. Departments do not work together to reach a common goal. The company has no direction.

Pros

- Great industry to be in with lots of future growth potential - Good work environment, rarely forced to do overtime, and for the most part leaders respect fostering a work / life balance. - Great vacation and 1 personal day off each month. - Average health / dental - Positive changes to bloated management team

Cons

- Management scared to take risks. - Location - No long term incentive plan (bonuses / profit sharing) - No pension / rrsp matching

Pros

Coworkers were usually ok people to work with. Building was newish and ok. A great place to start out and move on if you are able to piece together your experience and education.

Cons

Company lost it's way after the 2007 debacle with the US pullout and never recovered after that. There was a huge loss of company identity and many of the people left over from the massive downsizings were not as qualified and dedicated as those who were there before. Lots of massive, expensive delays in releasing new products. Major changes in duties caused problems for people who found themselves doing new jobs they were not trained for or were qualified to do. Too many major shifts at the top, seemed like the company had new people in the top management levels every 6 months or so and a new CEO annually. Company lost 9/10 of its market to competition after 2007. Lots of internal postering and protection of fiefdoms from supervision and management. Overall, a shell of its former self.
