Pros

Decent money, great products. Higher tenure guys are rewarded with first choice picking routes and vacations.

Cons

Decent money, great products. Corporate PepsiCo/frito lay keeps cutting the pay of their frontline employees. Performance pay is coming to my location and the moral of the entire sales team is the lowest I've seen in 20 years. You get penalized on your paycheck for not working 50+ hours. Ive haven't even thought of leaving this company since day one, but now I think about it daily. They have no care about the lives of there employees, but will shell out multi millions in sponsorship and advertising with no second thought. Indra needs to be canned or Frito Lay needs to leave PepsiCo. This company is a shell of what it used to be. All the speaking with truth and candor has gone out the door. We need a union, unfortunately we are too overworked to put it together.

Pros

Pay is the only pro. Though not enough for what it's expected of you.

Cons

It really is modern day slavery. Doesn't matter how many cases you pull or how hard you bust your butt. If you don't pull 160 cases an hour you're gone. Ridiculous. I seriously kill myself and work as hard as I can but there is no way I can pull what is expected so I know after my 90 days, I'll be fired. Just sad because I am a very hard worker.

Pros

Flexible days 401 k match Ok Salary

Cons

- Kiss free time goodbye. You'll be expected to work 24/7. You'll be told this isn't true, but I can promise you it is. As soon as something goes wrong on a random Sunday you're "off" and you didn't take care of it you'll hear about it. You'll be told more than once that you need to take care of your business ALWAYS. If you're looking for work life balance you won't find it until you get promoted, if even then. - Speaking of promotions, no one wants to be a DSL so you'll be going up against everyone. You'll be promoted quicker if you're a favorite, good luck...this isn't based on job ability. More like...golfing and drinking ability. Play the part and you win. It's all a big game. - Your job will be impossible. Your managers will fail to listen to any concerns you have, you'll be given so many tasks it will make it impossible for you to be a good manager to your team, so they'll be disloyal and talk trash about you. Be prepared to be stuck in the middle of everything. My advise to you? Don't do it. It seems great on paper, to be a "district leader" but it's a nightmare, and once you're in it will take you a long time to get out. Every SDL in the region is looking for a job. It's broken, and management doesn't seem like they're going to fix it. Do yourself a favor and work at McDonalds before you come here.
