Pros

I've only been working for Frito for about 6 months. and YES the job is difficult but I knew that going into it. I've worked in the retail/grocery business since I was 15 working on holidays and weekends is already something I accustomed too. The job is difficult, but I make more $ then the majority of my friends who have college educations. Is it something I want to my entire life? Prob not, but my thinking is I'm at a young enough age where I can make plenty of good $, and eventually use this expierence to reach addition avenue sometime down the road.

Cons

The hours, which I can't really knock to hard for someone who has no family. Sure, getting up at 4 am is rough, but I try to take advantage of the days I have off (Sunday and Wednesday), and try to enjoy myself on those nights.

Pros

Depending on the location, it can be a good place to work. Good benefits, ability to make all right money if you're patient.

Cons

DSL's are concerned with one thing: making themselves look good. No numbers, no promotion. The management gives lip service to code of conduct; they put pressure on RSR's to do whatever it takes to get their numbers. Watch your back--blame rolls downhill and will stop at you. You should document everything. There are some good DSL's, but they seem to be in the minority. Do not expect integrity, and do not expect your leadership to back you up--they'll throw you under the bus if it will help their career. Watch your back--you're expendable. If you want to move up in the ranks, get used to being a yes man or woman and telling management how good they are!

Pros

Great health Benefits, when they cut your pay which they will, you can trade stale chips for staple items with other vendors like bread, pop an dairy products. You will always eat on this job.

Cons

They cut your pay with little warning, long hours, you get sick leave but no one runs your route so you can use it. The tempatures in the trucks can be unbearable.
