Pros

Fun and relaxed working environment Good progression available to people who work hard and buy into the company ethos Flexible core hours scheme and ability to work from home when required

Cons

Senior managers more concerned with managing upwards with little care or empathy for their employees Lack of ethnic diversity especially in the senior management team Increasingly corporate environment Work-life balance not correct especially in Finance Unwillingness to offer corrective remuneration measures to retain employees Increasing control from head office through the placement of senior staff Nepotism is rife The increasing desire for control has resulted in more senior hires from head office which has eroded the sense of family & independence that the business used to have

Pros

Ability to work directly (face-to-face) with senior stakeholders around the business. Working within a category such as alcohol, where consumers have a real passion for what you create, is very inspiration.

Cons

Decentralized business model, massively slows down decision making . Not much of an opportunity to be promoted through the business.

Pros

Worked too short to get a better understanding.

Cons

I have joined Pernod Ricard on the 27th March as a Supply Planner under Andrew Fisher's management. During the first two weeks I had to skip lunch twice; it even happened on my first day. I had 15 meetings on my first week! There was no handover and no documentation. After addressing the issue, I was given manuals on my second week. However they were not up to date. I was asked to reply to the stakeholders on the second day about products which I had no information, not even an email history. My manager was impatient, hot tempered and regularly swearing at his desk. After two weeks I left.
