Remote Work and Great Onboarding

Pros

One of the biggest positives of working at Philips is the leadership. I've had encounters with middle management and senior leadership and all has been kind, honest and helpful. The remote work is led well and they provide lots of onboarding, training and tools to make you successful in what you do. Philips is focused on change management and something that was important to me in my next role.

Cons

Downsides for working at Philips would be the training is intense when it comes to SES side of the technology business. The company takes their role in healthcare and patient care very seriously which is a positive for me but for others it may be too intense of a start.

Bangalore Philips is full of Malayalees only

1. They do provide good work life balance and would agree for Work from home. 2. US management is ok, but Europe management does not encourage pushing work to Indian counterparts. But still R&D department in present in Bangalore location. 3. Employee benefits and office physical space is all very good. 4. Good stepping stone (i.e join and stay for 2-3 years and jump) so that career is not stagnated due to politics.

Cons

1. Full of Politics 2. Current CEO is pro-China and anti-India, looks down a lot on Indian employees and markets 3. Very very very biased environment but they try to project that company is very neutral 4. Husband and wife working together is common, Also relatives working in the same team is common. 5. In Bangalore location full encouragement is given to malayalees only. UST global contractors are absorbed into Philips and they encourage other malayalees only irrespective of the technical knowledge.
