      Pros

      Awesome, live-saving product. Smart talent. Average benefits. Modern, open-minded policies about working remote and flex time in most departments. Big site with amenities like cafeteria, gym, play field, and various on-site services. Opportunities to move around the company.

      Cons

      This business unit seems to continue to struggle, getting bogged down in inefficiencies related to QMS maintenance and chronic under-staffing. This gets in the way of true success in product development, delivery and the revenue potential that's there to be captured in this market. Working there is like swimming on molasses... Progress and change are very slow. Compensation is below industry average.

In a lot of cases a decision might influence a lot of bodies within our company, therefore it might look like everything is in order from one branch, but other branches still have to look at certain aspect.       Good compensation Good work life balance. Flexibility to work from home

      Cons

      Good people are let go because numbers don't add up. De-motivating and highly uncertain environment Few people are capable enough to get the full picture of a complex project. And their opinion is lost in the endless discussions on unimportant topics

      Pros

      Regional job scope - but you can get this at most MNCs. Lower level people are decent.

      Cons

      This place is treated by top management like an old boys’ club where friends get all the credit, rewards and promotions. How well you do largely depends on who you know, which executive likes you and how well you can kiss-up. This company has a penchant for promoting the wrong people. There is a saying in Philips - there are doers and there are talkers. The doers do all the work and the talkers suck up to management and get all the credit and rewards, including promotions. Be wary of schemers and back stabbers, of which there are many in this place. If you end up working for the wrong boss, you will get your career sabotaged, like me. I worked on many major projects, got along well with my peers and mentored the newbies in my department but others got the credit and promotions. You will end up bitter, demoralized and frustrated. Biggest career mistake was joining this company. Many have left on really bad terms and I know many that are planning to leave.

We always hope to provide the right colleagues with the right compensation for their hard work. It is something that we do take seriously. That being said, it is nice to hear that you’ve got to work on amazing major projects and had a nice contact with the newer colleagues as well as your peers.
