Pros

Opportunities. Training. Innovative products. Benefits.

Cons

Management out of touch with real world expectations. Parts have too high failure rate (DOA). Does not listen to field on resolutions to problems faced day to day. Local management holds employees back and micro manages.

Hi there, it's a pity to hear you felt like the management was not properly connected and committed to the field staff and that we didn't keep in touch with you when you left after 10 years. I can imagine that is disappointing, and I apologize. That's definitely a learning moment for us. It's good to hear you were pleased with the career and learning opportunities during your time with us. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts here. I sincerely hope you are happy in your current job and wish you all the best with your career!

Pros

Great benefits and pay, centrally located in Canyon Park WA, with lots of room to grow. On site gym, Zumba & fitness classes, and weight room. Perks for healthy lifestyle. Good work life balance unless you are management, then you belong to them 24/7. Manager burn out is real.

Cons

Twice in 15 years my job was outsourced, and I was laid off. No real support to retain quality workers, just a severance bonus and out the door! Like every other corporate setting, they are more concerned about the bottom line. People can come and go, no loyalty.

Thanks for taking the time to elaborate a bit on your experience working with us for over 15 years. That's really valuable! It's true that we operate in an ever-changing landscape of technology, but we are really grateful for all the talent we've got under a roof. Ideally re-schooling through the Philips University is a possibility. We're glad to hear you're recommending us, and please know that our managing teams will read these pages too, in order to gather feedback to improve the lives of our employees as well.

Pros

The benefits are amazing with good PTO, Sick, and 401k match. My group had great work/life balance and I had a very supportive manager.

Cons

Philips seems to only really care about what is “trendy” as they struggle to get more women in leadership roles, but then don’t provide benefits, such as maternity leave, to actually attract and retain female talent. Global makes decisions for the region that don’t really make sense. The move to Nashville wasn’t really cost saving and going to Cambridge will lose a lot of top talent. Again, trying to attract women into leadership roles, but then require them to commute up to 2 hours when they could have kids in school isn’t going to make you an attractive employer.
