Pros

Best in class products, company car

Cons

Don't come to work at this company unless you are ready to increase your sales by no less than 20%, and willing to accept a 1.5% merit increase. My first year, increased my territory by 35% (received a 1% merit increase), my second year increased by territory by 18%...received a 1.5% increase. The base salaries are below the industry minimum. I have had 3 National Sales Managers in 2 years, as well as 4 territory changes. Work life balance is a joke, be prepared to work weekends, nights, etc. I would PROBABLY recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Pros

Overall great products, smart people, and solid install base.

Cons

Royal Philips is a 123 year-old sinking Titanic. 2014 was a dismal year and many, many good people lost their jobs. Philips split Lighting division and Healthcare apart. Now the two are the bow and stern of the sinking ship. Both halves will still sink, now only more slowly. Management has never been able to integrate acquisitions into one cohesive organization. The buying spree from the last 20 years has created Silo businesses that can't be managed. Inside of each Silo are other Silos. For example, Sales and Service compete with each other. There's zero focus on solving real customer needs.

Pros

Compensation is okay People are nice people focused company You can stay as long as you want if you can follow one simple policy - "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" Benefits are decent but not as good as they boast - check out new policies

Cons

People are nice but not as a team. They play safe game and when you challenge they act as if they do not know what you are talking about. CEO is clueless. Strategy changes after every quarter results. All these years, they wasted tons of money calling it "One Philips" and trying to integrate different divisions and now they are again spending double of it to disintegrate the same. There are managers either who doesn't know what they are doing or those who micro manage veterans like college out kids. And there are managers who just believe that there is nothing beyond their knowledge.
