Pros

The day goes by amazingly fast and there is always something to do. Plus you get the opportunity to meet so many nice staff workers with different cultures.

Cons

You are not allowed to "think outside of the box"; if so, you will soon have everyone ignoring you and you will be a "trouble maker" in the eyes of HR. PLUS, only brown nosers get quick promotions and the smart, educated and experienced will be ignored out of the management group and left uninformed.

Pros

Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, enjoyable to see all the different fashion styles and stock the company brings in, customers are almost always friendly and enjoy the shop

Cons

Low pay rate, management can sometimes have slow communication, no discount apart from at Christmas, the shop is often left in a state by customers at the end of the day which makes for a huge and frantic recovery in a small amount of time

Pros

Most of the team are quite friendly and happy to help Love working on the tills!

Cons

Failed to pay a number of us on payday, we had to wait until the next payday Asked to stay back during your shift rather than being asked in advance I had to stay beyond my contracted hours weekly Very disorganised management Spend hours doing 'recovery' e.g putting things back where they're supposed to be when customers have moved them, or putting things back from the returns rail, this is more difficult if you don't work in the returns department and don't know where anything is! A lot of favouritism which in turns brings discrimination You're given orders by your manager, supervisor as well as other retail assistants in your department, who are you supposed to listen to? Not enough people to work with in your department - there's a very high turnover rate for a reason. Lack of professionalism, a lot of inappropriate behaviour
