Pros

-The pay is great but not enough for the work you do - I love the people I work with -PTO - Visits from CEO and others are great but stressful

Cons

It's a very stressful environment. Its very hard to advance with the company. Supervisors have also trained to be TMs in a 10 week program and no one advanced. They like to hire externally rather than promote from within. They bring employees from overseas to help out when we can do it ourselves, if they gave us a chance. The employees that come over have all expenses paid, the company pays for housing, meals and transportation. That is a lot of money being thrown around and they can't give management raises? Retail assistants just got a raise to $12/hr, they are giving that raise to all of them. Regardless if they have been working for the store since opening or if they were just hired. That is not fair to the staff who have been working over a year. There's no recognition plan in place. Not so much of a big deal but, I understand as a manager you need to be there for all your shifts. It's hard for managers to call out. My sick days and days owed can't be used.

Pros

There's not too many pros except that you meet and get to know some great people

Cons

Everything! Upper management needs to listen to the staff, they are overworked, tired of being talked to with disrespect from other staff members and managers and nothing is done about it, and underpayed. If you do your job you don't get noticed because there are so many bad people that they overtake all of the attention There is no follow through or really and policy and procedures. Staff can be late consistently, no call/no show, clock in and walk out into the mall or to the movies and nothing will happen to them. It is hard for managers to be able to handle these situations because they have no support from P&c who just sits in their nice chairs and gossips and drinks their coffee all day. The store is a joke and a downgrade if you want to further yourself in retail. You will learn nothing here. They hire and kee anyone and everyone, people with experience, no experience, rude attitudes, racists, people who will threaten others or actually fight others in the store

Pros

Enjoyed my early days, plenty of opportunities, everyone got along and there was a sense of achievement to actually getting S**t done. Flexible working and relatively good pay. Really nice modern offices in Dublin HQ. People around the business seem relativity nice and friendly.

Cons

Outsourced a lot of their long term knowledgeable staff Lost valuable members of the department Too much time wasted talking about things, lack of decision making Management top heavy Friends recruiting friends and forming their own friendship groups (old vs new) New people coming in changing things that actually work department split across counties not working together conflict workloads Too many processes and policies
