      Pros

      Fixed weekday set shift meaning no weekend or bank holiday working

      Cons

      Little chance of progression unless your best friends with management and it appears you have to be a full time staff member first. Overtime is not available like i was promised at interview unless you want to work until close of business Sometimes feels as if you are invisible to management and your performance is not recognised unless you do wrong No benefots of working here - no pension unless full time and no staff discounts

      Pros

      Hours were fair, you were for the most part able to discuss with your manager which section you'd like to work in and come to an agreed middle ground.

      Cons

      Managers were also at times strict, and incidents such as signing in during crowded periods made for perhaps a few seconds off the first minute being missed. Which was heavily penalized despite the circumstances. However if you were a few minutes early signing on, you were also penalized, creating an unfair standard of being exactly on time. Operating the tills required constant supervision from managers, as functions such as refunds or accessing the tills were inaccessible to the retail assistants themselves.

      Pros

      Time goes quick, because it's always busy. Can be quite entertaining at some point seeing weirdos coming into a shop.

      Cons

      Nobody cares if you are not feeling well, you're still expected to turn up. If you don't - they make you feel guilty.
