Pros

Overtime - the only thing good about working here.

Cons

Minimum Wage, No Staff discount or perks, management make up unwritten rules and don't know what the hell they are doing, managers will only offer you overtime if you sign up to the hours they want you to do, if you can't do them hours, they tell you they have no overtime, managers are rude and unprofessional - they swear on the shop floor in front of staff and customers, focus too much on serving customers rather than maintaining the store, if your doing a closing shift, you will never get out on time, always an hour/hour and a half after, they tell you to do too many things at one time and management dehumanize you and walk around all day making demands but don't do anything themselves.

Pros

Both senior and lower levels of staff very friendly Always a lot of overtime, especially at half term and at Christmas Very easy to progress to Supervisor and more senior positions within a short space of time Decent amount of breaks Diverse workforce

Cons

Customers will be the bane of your life; no respect for staff nor their efforts in keeping a section tidy which doesn't happen in most other retail stores Supervisors and managers can sometimes force/blackmail you into signing up for overtime that you don't want Pay could be better No benefits apart from Pension Scheme Depending on your contracted shift you may only be given one blue Primark t shirt to wear to work; so what are you supposed to wear if you do lots of overtime throughout the week?!
