-Simple work = boring work
-Job is repetitive and not challenging
-Rate of Pay doesn't scale with your responsibilities (Same pay for Cash Officer than Sales Assistant)
-If you are on a close shift, you won't get out on time and you won't get paid for the extra minutes you work (acc. to paycheck)
-No extra pay for overtime
-No extra pay for bank holidays (Weekend staff HAVE to work all bank holidays acc. to contract)
-Higher Management has no involvement (Who even is our Area Manager?)
-Very disrespectful customers
-Power-Hungry Supervisors/Managers can fully bloom as higher management doesn't care if they think the "lower" employees are useless
-Very limited career opportunities
-Useless Benefit-Scheme
-Staff discount for only 2 weeks of the year
-Airconditioning breaks on a regular basis - no water used to be provided at the tills until after complaint was made to trade union
-Holiday pay is calculated including overtime as well - example:
Say you work 8h part time Saturdays and Sundays. Then you holiday pay would be for 8h a day.
But if you do overtime (most overtime is 4h) during the week, your actual holiday pay goes down - it is calculated on you average hours worked during the past 3 months. The more overtime you do, the worse you're off on your holidays!
