Pros

Gives you valuable retail experience. Get to go home and not take work with you. Times goes quicker as you are always busy.

Cons

The managers are nasty and do not treat staff well. Low pay for hard work. No focus on the individual and no staff discount.

Pros

Workmates are sociable people and friendships can be made quickly. Mangers can be friendly and approachable and can be understanding of certain circumstances of why you might be unavailable for work.

Cons

High pressure environment which can leave you stressed and drained after a shift. Customers can dispute over small discrepancies which can affect the pace of the queue at the tills. It is always busy. No matter what time. Even before trading hours. It is always busy.
