Primark is a place for bullies

Pros

The tasks at primark are straight and very easy to adapt too.

Cons

The trainning provided is really poor and you have to learn by yourself to do the tasks. They also put me on the wrong tax code where it led to me recieving a low salrary to my expectations . I was told before i worked at primark that there is alot of unprofessionalism with the managers behaviour and they behave very arrogantly with employees and they are unaware of damaging someones performance for their own agenda. I didnt believe this until i had to experience it myself and im telling you now this place is a toxic environment full of bullies even the managers were bullies and were looking for a way to have you dismissed. My time at Primark was very uncomfortable and i felt i cant even speak to the managers about any issues at work because they wouldnt keep it confidential and it would be gossiped to the other person so there is alot of misconduct with the employers at primark. Even the assistant manager at primark was very rude and blunt when i spoke about these issues. I felt like they were not taking it serious enough and didnt showany sympathy or remorse to my bullying i recieved at primark.Sometimes they showed signs of discrimination but they would do it very lowkey. I would not recommend anyone to work at Primark and i would describe the environment a toxic place for any new recruits.

Pros

You work with good people for a strong brand The culture is friendly in many ways There is scope to try out new ideas

Cons

The constant sales driven nature of the business makes it very stressful at times The HR role is almost completely operational with no real sense of strategy or direction from above The working pattern includes weekends - which for an HR professional is not a good deal.

Pros

Decent pay for its job

Cons

I worked at Primark during my A levels. The managers in the store I worked at however, were not very understanding at the fact that I was still a student and I had more important things to do other than work.
