Pros

Great place to get a broad range of training and understand a consumer products company and industry. Each function is expected to act as if they run the company. Looks great on a resume.

Cons

Cut throat environment. Newly promoted managers want to make a name for themselves and do that by eliminating the current staff and bringing in their favorites. Must toe the company line and not present an opposing viewpoint.

Pros

Incredible learning opportunity with major responsibility on the biggest brands Smartest/most talented group of people who you will love working with Above average compensation

Cons

Limited growth opportunity and progression specifically in Canada Reduced marketing responsibility as more work gets moved to the US to manage the NA region Highly political, performance is just as much about perception and impression as it is about doing the actual work
