Pros

company tries to do the right thing. good people. good pay. lots of opportunity to work in different types of jobs and different locations

Cons

standards are not at all consistent from one location to another. when you ask for help, sometimes you get punished. work life balance is not really encouraged.

Pros

- Excellent culture. Good emphasis on ethics and consumer focus. - Good work / life balance encouraged by the organization - Other companies love to see P&G on your resume, it will definitely be a good thing. - Good corporate trainings, specially if this is your first job, P&G will invest in developing you. - Stable work environment, if you work for P&G you really have to put on a good effort to get laid off.

Cons

- Slow progress on your career, as a young professional in my 20's this was a bit of a drag. They will not tell you this but the minimum standard for getting to band 1 is 2 years. Promote from within means you play by their rules and time schemes. - P&G Costa Rica has low salaries for IT employees. This was a problem since I joined on day 1, and I worked for 4 years. Their "IDS" function as they call it is not being paid competitively, me and my friends left one by one for higher paying jobs outside. They say they pay competitively but I was being paid less than the average salaries of my college graduation classmates. - In some areas (non-IT), politics plays a large role in who gets promoted instead of who really is performing.
