Pros

There is real investment in employees' personal development and true opportunity to advance to much more senior levels. The "promote from within" ethos means that more is invested in existing employees (and recruiting more great people) and that senior managers are not "flown in" from other organizations. The culture is very focused on results delivered and strong performance is very well rewarded, both in terms of compensation and benefits, but also in new opportunities that you are given to progress even further and faster. Overall it is an absolutely fantastic place to work and if you put a lot in you will get a huge amount out again.

Cons

Sometimes can be a too inwardly focused and resistant to learning from the outside. Huge company, so sometimes there is a tendency to keep doing things "the P&G way" rather than really taking a hard look at whether processes could be improved.

Pros

Very easy to transfer to other areas to allow personal and professional growth.

Cons

Since this is a very large company, with a promote from within system the competitive spirit is very intense.

Pros

P&G has a strong heritage, a variety of brands, and many career options. It's a great place to launch a career (it's up or out and everyone starts at the bottom). The company is always innovating and provides a significant amount of training for employees to continue winning in the marketplace.

Cons

get lost in the vast size of the company, so much hierarchy, management within business units change their minds every few days, which can be very frustrating. Becarse it's a promote from within company, politics and relationships are extremely important. Build strong relationships with the right people and you'll be good. The company has lost really great people because they weren't buddies with management.
