Pros

Great training, great colleagues, ethical environment. Decision making is too complicated, with too many silent vetos. The company needs to simplify its processes and reduce layers. Will be difficult to do this while increasing opportunities for all of the great talent that is within the company. Senior leaderships is doing a great job, with an increased focus on diversity of experiences in senior management roles. The challenge is to simplify without making to autocratic. This is made more complicated due to the global nature of the company. There is risk that smaller, nubmler companies may grow faster in the near term.

Cons

very process-oriented, too much complexity in decision making.

Pros

There is Job stability, esp. in a tough economy (because consumers still need staple household goods). P&G provides a very thorough training program for all new hires and even more senior levels. The company also has a believe in continued information sharing through corporate networks to leverage cross-category learnings and drive scale.

Cons

While P&G is a great company, there is a lot of corporate bureacracy that drives slow decision making processes. There is a need to "rightsize" qualification plans to prevent late launch into market. Sometimes P&G is too focused on making all decisions based on consumer data and will not move forward unless all the t's are crossed. Additinoally, there appears to be unbalanced work/life balance between different functions & categories.

Pros

P&G is an incredible Company. You will be working with other smart people for an employer you can be proud of. The company is massive but they still trust their employees and give them a large amount of responsibility. It is truly a fun environment in which to work. Everyone works hard and does a good job but they also joke and and have a good time. Most of the work is done in multi-functional teams, so you have the opportunity to work with colleagues with different expertise from yourself. It develops you very well.

Cons

P&G can be rigid at times. There is tremendous (understood but usually not mentioned) pressure to perform.
