Pros

Good brand name on the CV. Decent paymaster (negotiate hard when you join). Full ownership of projects. Opportunities to move to different roles and geographies if you are able to deliver results.

Cons

Extremely demanding in terms of time investment (difficult to manage if you don't have a good support system or value your life beyond work). The company doesn't value your life beyond work...just pays lip service to work-life integration policies. You will be working with a bunch of workaholics who are in blind love with the system. Their choice...but unfortunately it sets a wrong precedent for everyone. Leadership is full of taskmasters who simply create processes, trackers and meetings for anything and everything. Everyone is under pressure and the pressure gets passed down without any filter. People don't know any other way to operate. You will hardly find anyone questioning the non-sense that is prevalent all around in name of agility and growth mindset. Immature leadership...they may be super intelligent but the majority of them have lost touch with their humane side and don't know how to manage experienced employees. In a nutshell, they may have been able to deliver results by putting unnecessary pressure but they don't deserve to be people leaders. You will not fall in awe of your leaders here (there may be a few exceptions). Since most of the employees join fresh from college all they have is exposure to this company and most of them talk and think in the same way. Eventually, once they move up the ladder they take the same culture forward with them. If you are a lateral hire...put careful thought into what kind of freedom you expect at your life stage. Employees get critiqued and criticized publicly even for trivial things which you may have not seen in other bigger MNCs. Some of the issues may be more prominent in certain departments...make sure you gather true feedback before committing yourself to this organization. It is not a bad company...but don't have misconceptions that it will be a great company to work for just because it is P&G. P&G is an average employer and keep your expectations realistic before joining.

Pros

- nice atmosphere, they care about people to some extent - frequent assignment changes (2yrs) - despite supply chainis not the most sexy industry, they make this atmostphere that you feel doing something 'big' - probably best in class procesess and performance - focused on digitalisation

Cons

- salary is not competetive anymore. manager with 3 yrs experience have same money like good specialist with 4 years of experience. - sometimes you can get promotion in 3 years (for senior manager), sometimes after 6 you still wait. linked in 40% with performance and knowledge, another 60% is 'how other see you' or 'how politically correct you are' - workload in various roles might be different by 40% - opportunities and quality of work here goes with negative trend - 'diversity & inclusion' attacking from everywhere - all the product innovations come down to packaging & colour change, or downsizing. - bad culture of promoting overtimes (unpaid for managers) and work being sick

Pros

HQ is in a mid size affordable fun city which is great for families. The brands sell themselves for the most part, executive senior management has put this company on a growth course.

Cons

This is a very very large company and very very political. Some of the focus has shifted from marketing and selling great products to middle management promotions to “check the right boxes” leading to some leaders who are clearly not ready for highly visible roles. In a great economy, this is easy to disguise but when the economy slows, the leadership flaws will begin to show. So, like every big company with tenured employees, friends promote friends based mostly on that, they also accelerate promoting younger talent for fear of losing the next generation but most are just not ready. Nepotism and fear being down empires, I really hope that doesn’t happen. Hey, I have been the beneficiary of this practice but needed to be said. So, if you do join us don’t be surprised if your boss is all of 26 years old and has a whole 3 years under their belt.
