Good work experience, annoying internal politics

Pros

Advisory projects are good, and will add value to your resume. You will work with big name clients on mostly high profile projects. Compensation is competitive with the other Big 4

Cons

You have to be careful not to get stuck in an operational role where you don't learn much. Large advisory engagements need a substantial task force just to keep things running, where all you do is follow templates. While it's ok to do it for a little while, that shouldn't be the only thing you get out of it.

Huge learning curve at each level Training each year at each level Up to date technology utilized Audit practices and methodology provided

Cons

Extremely long hours to the point it is inhuman including weekends All employees have no respect for other employees as human beings Complete disrespect of you as a person at every level Unprofessional and inappropriate work environment Personal life is greatly sacrificed Feeling like you will be fired at any point if you don't perform "brown nosing" or "ass kissing" Can't remember any significant event or point of your 20s other than being at work 24/7 Is it worth it? No!
