Pros

Big 4 experience, looks good on a resume

Cons

I was getting great reviews in my first year, got promoted and a raise for my second year, then my fiancée got a job opportunity out of state. I asked for a transfer and next thing I knew, I was being let go for "poor performance."

Pros

The employees in general have high aspirations and are highly motivated. The office is kind of new. Decent perks and benefits

Cons

1. You are not treated equally to core members 2. Leadership blatantly lies to staff regarding expectations on career progression, compensation, and type of work. 3. Transferring requires 2 years (falls on only two days a year so you will most likely have to wait additional time) and 3 months to hear back. Also, only 5% of all SDCs may transfer. To put this in perspective - less than 3 people a year. 4. Lack of transparency and consistency. Expect policies to change to your detriment. Leadership wants you to stay in Columbia, not travel, take away tour of duty opportunities etc 5. Gossip. Because we do not have stimulating work where we feel a part of the team, there is a lot of down time. This time is filled with pointless internal projects and gossip about how poor the conditions are. 6. Internal projects are only a way to get promoted and to distract you from the fact that you are NOT client facing and doing secretary work. In conclusion, your a fool if you accept this position. It seems like a great opportunity during the interview process. Leadership does a fantastic job of reeling you in with lies. Don't fall for it.

Pros

Great people on my team. Management on my team also wonderful.

Cons

Firm higher management are awful, greedy number-crunchers. No training on things that are important to the overall firm. Must satisfy firm metrics without going over budget.
