Pros

Decent Benefits, easy to gain experience even if you don't have any (careful this is also a con).

Cons

Everything gets lost in translation. Too many layers of management that don't have a clue about the technology below surface level. Low talent gets put into high talent required positions because management doesn't know what makes a good engineer. You can tell it's been a cycle of promoting unqualified people for over a decade. As a software engineer in a hardware heavyweight industry, I recommend you stay away. If you want a good software company to grow in, make sure you pick a team which understands what it takes to build good quality scalable extensible software.

Pros

good place to learn, moving within the company is very easy.

Cons

Since it is a large company, sometimes, projects move in and out of spot lights.

Pros

employee recognition - stocks, bonuses, awards.

Cons

I was working part time, which is looked down upon (probably the same in most big companies). As a result the management refused to raise my salary to market rate (relative to hours worked).
