Pros

Co-workers and team leads were nice. Free trading account. Good training at the start.

Cons

Questrade CSS is a terrible place to work. They time how long you are in the toilet for and broadcast it on a screen for the whole dept. to see; this is like Black Mirror stuff. The top executive only care about the bottom line and cut corners everywhere. Only 3 sick days per year; they dont want you to bring a plus one to the Xmas party and they stopped buying pizza every month to save money. DOn't work here.

Pros

- The people have a strong work ethic and are determined, optimistic, customer centric, and supportive of others. - Individual acknowledgement and recognition comes right from the top so you know your work is valued from the start. - Strong and inspiring upper management. Power is expressed with respect, compassion, and with your career development at heart. - There is some room for creativity and innovation at entry level. - There's a 'we care' attitude that permeates throughout the whole organization - If you're looking for a job, you will find a lot more than that at Questrade.

Cons

- Sometimes the competition between teams comes at a cost to sharing valuable insights and processes for the benefit of everyone. - Like most entry level positions in a corporation, your value is determined more so by your position and how well you execute what is expected, than what you do beyond it.

Pros

You learn the true definition of a toxic environment. You learn how fake 'supervisors' are and how the corporate environment revolves on the bottom line aka ' is them paying you $37,500 worth it'. You learn that management doesn't have a backbone when it comes to upset clients, complain and you shall receive. Most clients wont want to talk to you cause they know once they talk to a team lead or how we say 'member of leadership', they will get what they want. Your coworkers are nice but anyone in a *higher* position, isn't really to be trusted.

Cons

You are forced into working late shifts. When you are hired you are told working 12-8 is once a year but really it's every 2-3 months. If you're a suck up and understand that supervisors play favourites it may be every 6 months. If you don't have a peppy attitude over the phone, you're probably going to get fired. Guilt tripped into overtime time by 'Team Leads' who aren't true leaders but pawns of senior management. When your quality is reviewed, understand it is subjective, yes you can have points deducted for saying um which then affects your 'bonus' if you can even call it that. Your lunch is 35 minutes long and if you go over by a minute, a report sent department wide that will notify your peers of how bad you are. Did I mention that time spent on washroom break is recorded, yes the minutes you spend doing your business it recorded. Your desk is a highschool computer lab and you'll hear the person to the left and right of you as you try and work.
